Bridal FAQs

Yes, there is a $550 booking minimum for all mobile and weddings services between Friday-Sunday (August to May) outside 10kms from Hughesdale 3166 including all key wedding regions eg Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Geelong, Macedon ranges etc

Client appointments within 10 kms of Hughesdale 3166 are held in my home studio (in Hughesdale). If you wish for me to travel to you, travel fees at $100 per hour will apply

I have three packages on my site designed so every bride finds exactly what she needs. The real question for you is: what’s your vision? Are you thinking hair + makeup, just one, or bringing the whole crew? Once I know that, I can show you which package is the perfect fit and why it’s worth every dollar.

Let me ask you this: what’s your top priority — lower costs, or peace of mind knowing you’ll get that exact look you’ve been pinning? Because here’s the truth: You could go with a budget stylist and hope they nail it, or you could invest in someone who’s done this many times and will deliver. What matters most to you?

The clients who book me want to know their hair will look flawless from the first photo to the last dance. To ensure a completely seamless, stress-free morning, I remain on-site with you right up until you step into your dress for final touch-ups and veil placement

The total cost of the booking is paid over 2 payments. First is the 30% non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding day. The second and final instalment is due 7 days before your wedding day. All payments are made online via bank transfer or cash if previously agreed.

A trial is “the hair and facial equivalent” of trying on your wedding dress before the wedding to ensure it’s absolutely perfect

Why do I recommend a trial?

I highly recommend all brides have a trial. It gives us the perfect opportunity to connect, discuss your preferences, and design a personalized look tailored just for you. Sometimes, a style you love in photos might look different in person—testing it out allows you to wear it for the day, see how it pairs with your gown, and ensure it feels entirely like you. Ultimately, it gives you total peace of mind so you can walk down the aisle with no surprises—just pure confidence.

What is included and where is it held?

Your 2-hour trial is a full, intensive session held at my studio in Hughesdale (3166). It includes a complete makeup application and/or hairstyle, depending on your booking. Together, we will lock in your final vision and map out your wedding-morning timeline.

To ensure you get the absolute most out of your session, your trial also includes:

  • A luxury skin-prep mini-facial so your makeup sits flawlessly.
  • Complimentary lash placement.
  • Veil and hair accessory styling.

Can my bridal party book a trial too?

Official trials are reserved exclusively for brides. However, if members of your bridal party—like the Mother of the Bride or your bridesmaids—wish to preview their look before the big day, they are more than welcome to book a standard Event Hair & Makeup service on a separate date. This is a fantastic way for them to experience my work firsthand and feel 100% confident! Please note that this is a separate, standalone booking and is not included in your final bridal package.

What if I don’t like the trial look?

That is exactly why we do a trial! If something doesn’t feel right, we adjust it on the spot. We can try a different hairstyle or pivot the makeup vibe until we hit that “yes, this is it!” moment. This process is a true collaboration—I am here to bring your unique vision to life.

While official trials are reserved exclusively for brides, bridal party members—like the Mother of the Bride—are more than welcome to test out their look by booking a standard Event Hair & Makeup service on a separate day. This is a fantastic way to experience my work firsthand and feel 100% confident in your decision. Please note that this is a separate standalone booking and does not count toward your final bridal package

Trials are only for booked brides, scheduled 2-3 months before the wedding.

Here’s why: A trial isn’t a shopping appointment—it’s a full intensive session where we lock in your exact look, test everything on your specific features, and build your wedding-morning timeline. It requires serious prep on both our ends, and honestly, it only makes sense when your wedding details are already locked in.

If you’re still deciding: I get it. You want to see what this looks like on you before committing. Here’s what I do offer: book an event hair + makeup service—engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, whatever fits your timeline. You’ll experience my work in person, see exactly how I operate, and walk away 100% confident in your decision. That service is a separate booking and doesn’t count toward your bridal package price.

Then what? Once you officially book your wedding date, your trial happens 2-3 months out when you have your dress, your venue locked, and your vision crystal clear. That’s when we do the real work.

Trials are generally scheduled ~3 months before your wedding date.  By this time, most brides have finalised arrangements with their vendors and have a good sense of their wedding theme having chosen the dress, flowers and accessories etc.  We go through everything at the trial (it’s not just about the wedding look) so having these things sorted is preferred.

Trials are held in my Hughesdale home studio and you will receive everything you need to know on how to prepare ~2weeks before your trial date

As the trial is held at my home and space is limited, I kindly ask that you attend alone.  It’s important we keep the session focused and distraction-free.

Yes I do.  This ensures that you’re not rushing around on your big day and allows you to get ready in the comfort of your own environment.  Travel costs may be incurred, please let us know your event location when enquiring and we will be sure to include these costs in your quote

Your hair and makeup will be designed for longevity.  Makeup won’t necessarily be heavier, but the products I use are long lasting to ensure your makeup stays put.

I generally allow an hour to an hour and 15 mins for each service. Sometimes it’s less (eg blow waves) and some times more (eg Hollywood waves). All these details are discussed beforehand to ensure we have enough time to complete all the desired looks within the timeframe.

In most cases, yes — but here’s the real talk: I’ll always adapt it to suit your hair texture, face shape, and what actually flatters you. My job isn’t to copy a photo; it’s to capture that vibe while making sure you look like the best version of you, not someone else. We’ll nail the aesthetic you’re after, I promise.

High-quality, long-wear formulas that are tested for staying power on 12+ hour wedding days. For makeup, I use brands that won’t sweat off or look cakey. For hair, I use professional products that keep waves locked in and updos sculptural. All products are included in your package.

Let me know during the trial. I’ll test products on you first and can work with sensitive skin. I also do that luxury skin-prep facial at your trial to get your skin prepped and glowing, which helps everything sit better.

I have a range of clip in extensions available for hire for my brides in the most popular colours. These are available to hire for $9-$15 per piece used or $80 for a whole set. Extensions are on hire for 48 hours and must be returned within 3-5 days of the wedding either by express post (tracking to be provided) or in person. In addition to the hire rate above, a $200 deposit is required for extension hire which will be refunded once the extensions have been returned.

We are also happy to fit your own hair extensions. No charge for bridal. Event clients $10.

No need to worry if you have a large bridal party as I will bring on assistants to ensure everyone is taken care of. Assistants may incur and extra cost (and included in my larger packages) which will be discussed and agreed with you beforehand. You will deal with me and I will take care of all scheduling, payments and timings in the background.

Unfortunately, no as we have dedicated our day to you. If you are unsure, its best to exclude them from the contract. You may wish to add additional people for hair or makeup later, however only if time permits.

Cancellation
Booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, as your deposit exclusively secures your wedding date and means I turn away all other inquiries for that day. In the rare event of an emergency or illness on my end, I will either personally arrange a trusted replacement stylist or issue you a full refund.

Changes to your booking
If someone in your bridal party can no longer make it, their service fee cannot be refunded, but you are more than welcome to fill their spot with someone else! If you need to add extra people or change your services later on, we can absolutely look at that—just note that additional fees will apply and it is subject to availability

It’s best to book your hairstylist 6 to 12 months in advance, especially if your wedding is during peak season. This ensures a high chance of securing your preferred artist.  I take bookings up to 1 year in advance.

You can view my full terms and conditions here. As with anything it comes down to good communication. If in doubt, please ask! More and often than not, we will be able to help you.
