Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to specified bookings serviced by Peggy Stasinos Hair and Makeup (ABN 11 328 915 408). By securing your booking with a deposit, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Peggy Stasinos Hair and Makeup reserves the right to alter these Terms at any time without notice.
What you are paying for
- A bridal or special occasion booking includes more than just hair and makeup on your big day.
- Once your booking fee is paid, your service with us begins immediately.
- We’ll create your paperwork after your verbal confirmation.
- We are available to answer all email and phone queries within 48 hours.
- From booking day, we provide ongoing support leading up to your event.
- Many brides send us inspiration photos and seek advice before their trial/preview appointment, and we’re happy to help with recommendations.
- Your payment covers continuous service and support, not just the event day itself.
- Our rates are competitive because we offer full commitment to being there on your special day, guaranteed.
Securing Your Booking
All bridal and event bookings are made on a “first-come-first-served” basis. All bookings are subject to availability and no dates will be guaranteed without a booking fee.
Peggy Stasinos Hair & Makeup requires a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee to secure your booking. The booking fee covers security of holding your date, any administration, planning, communication etc. If you proceed with your bridal booking, this booking fee will be deducted from the full cost of the service.
A booking fee of 30% of the total quote is required to secure your bridal or event booking. Once you have paid your booking fee, a contract is formed for the quoted services between you and Peggy Stasinos Hair & Makeup. In paying the booking fee you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Fee Balances
The balance of the Fee is payable at least 7 days before the date of the bridal service or 2 days in the case of event bookings
Payments
Payments are made by either cash or bank transfer (must be received prior to the service). Personal cheques are not accepted.
Timing and Schedules/late Arrivals
- Peggy Stasinos Hair & Makeup will agree start/scheduling times with the Client
- Bridal Party scheduling is dictated by Peggy Stasinos Hair and Makeup to ensure everyone is ready by the deadline.
- Please adhere to all booking times. Should guests/bridal party arrive 30mins late and hair/make-up chair is empty, further charges may apply or the Client services cancelled. This policy is in place out of respect for our services and other clients; we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
- If, for any reason Peggy Stasinos Hair & Makeup becomes unavailable on the date of your booking, a replacement and equivalently skilled and experienced makeup artist will be sourced for you, at no additional cost to you. We will never leave you stranded for makeup services, and we stand by all of our bookings
Fees and other charges
- Travel and parking fees: Travel fees do apply, please be sure parking is organized and is available on site. Due to the large amount of equipment carried, parking must be no more than 100m from entrance of your getting ready location
- Early start fee: An early start fee of $50 per hour is charged for commencement prior to 7am
- Public Holidays: All public holidays incur a 20% surcharge on service
Assistant Fee
Parties of 5 parties or more may require an assistant(s) and this is subject to additional fees which will be provided to the client for approval ahead of time
Changes to your booking
We are unable to offer discounts should any member of your bridal party forego a prearranged service after the booking is confirmed and the booking fee is paid.
Additional fees will be applied should your service needs change or if additional services are added to this bridal booking.
Any extra “last minute” bookings on the day of the bridal makeup service must be notified prior to the event, or if unavoidable, at the commencement of the hair and/or makeup service. Service requests on the day of the wedding may not be able to be accommodated, but we will do our best. If the bookings can be accommodated, they will be charged in accordance with standard rate and for these situations we will accept cash as payment.
Minimum call out fees
Services within postcode 3166 do not incur a minimum call out fee. For services outside this postcode in metro Melbourne, a minimum of 2 services must be booked
Wedding services in regional areas (eg Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Geelong, Macedon ranges and other regional areas), require a minimum is $450 for all on location bookings from Friday – Sunday.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking, the booking fee is non-refundable because to secure your preferred date, we are likely to have turned away other business. If we cancel your booking, we will refund the Booking fee.
If you cancel your bridal service with less than 2 months’ notice, you will be required to pay the balance of the wedding in full. If you have already paid in full, this payment will be retained for the inconvenience of late cancellations and loss of other wedding or other business, unless otherwise agreed.
In the unlikely event that the stylist is unable to attend the client’s booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency or any other circumstance beyond her control, the stylist will endeavour to find a replacement artist of a similar standard. If a replacement is found the client will receive a 10% off the quoted services (excluding travel fee). Please note that finding a replacement is not guaranteed. If the stylist is unable to find a replacement the client will receive a full refund of monies paid, less trial cost.
Bridal trials
Bridal trials are available to clients who have placed a deposit to secure their wedding date. We can accommodate bridal trials without a bridal booking, however this does doesn’t secure or hold your wedding date. Weddings dates are often in high demand, and I am unable to reserve any dates without a signed contract and deposit.
Hair Extension Hire
I have a range of clip in extensions available for hire for my brides in the most popular colours. These are available to hire for $9-$15 per piece used. Extensions are on hire for 48 hours and must be returned within 3-5 days of the wedding either by express post (tracking to be provided) or in person. In addition to the hire rate above, a $200 deposit is required for extension hire which will be refunded once the extensions have been returned.
We are also happy to fit your own hair extensions. No charge for bridal. Event clients $10.
Unsafe conditions
Client acknowledges and agrees that verbal abuse of the bridal stylist is unacceptable by any person and shall be grounds for stylist to cease services immediately. The Client acknowledges that they will not be entitled to any refund in these circumstances
Service Location Requirements
The location of services on the wedding day is at the discretion of the Client but there are certain requirements the stylists need to complete services (eg clean space, electrical outlet ample room, tables and chairs). Please advise if access to location is difficult i.e; lots of stairs etc.
Health and Safety
We practice strict hygiene to ensure makeup kit, including brushes are well maintained and sanitised.
If you have very sensitive skin, or a known sensitivity to makeup ingredients, you are required to inform Peggy Stasinos Hair & Makeup in advance. This includes (but not limited to) any viruses, cold sores, eye infections or contagious skin conditions. If the client/s choose not to notify us, we reserve the right to refuse service without compensation.
We are not responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. Should clients be allergic to specific cosmetic ingredients, the onus is on the client to provide specific makeup.
